Global Liquid Products Application Support Manager

Management of production and application support team spanning multiple business and product lines. Be the point person on new projects.

We have embarked on a global build out of its Global Liquid Producuts (GLP) businesses globally, as part of this significant technical investments have been made and will continue over the next several years. Projects include re-architecting electronic trading infrastructure and implementing new risk management systems. A senior role has been identified to be located either in NY or London to add expertise and depth in production support of both existing and new applications. The role will encompass operational duties as well as delivering on projects to improve processes, infrastructure and both application availability and performance. The role includes support of the various GLP products, FX spot, forward, proprietary and prime brokerage trading desks, Rates trading desks, Commodities trading desks as well as external client support. In order to be successful, candidates need to demonstrate excellent technical and leadership skills. We are particularly interested in candidates who have provided technical support during large scale change programmes, such as implementation of new trading systems or electronic trading initiatives

Required skills:

  • Good GLP business knowledge
  • Good computing, mathematics or financial degree
  • At least 10 years trading support or development experience, at least 5 years as manager
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible team player
  • Good troubleshooting skills, logical thinker, customer focused
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and leadership skills

Desired skills:

  • Support of GLP risk management and pricing applications
  • UNIX/LINUX with scripting skills (perl/ksh)
  • Appreciation of networking, and electronic trading technologies
  • Exposure to market data technologies, such as TIBCO RV, Reuters Triarch and RMDS
  • Exposure to applications developed using Java/J2EE
  • MS Excel, VB & VBA
  • Sybase/SQL/Oracle
